Would be pretty good except for a couple of things

Saw three models available at clearance prices, upon a quick inspection all three had some form of warp in the wheels causing them to brush against the brake pad some only managed a few revolutions when spun, another managed to get five or six so I chose that one of the three. It's a nice looking bike with a rack, fenders and chain guard so I was hoping it would ride ok when I got it home, as you can't tell too much in the store about that. After a quick ride I noticed that the gears didn't shift smoothly and would jump between gears in the upper range when peddled hard like when trying to accelerate with a lot of clicking and clacking noises. On closer inspect I could see that the spoke guard which is between the back wheel spokes and sprocket cassette was not mounted properly and was therefore free floating and contacting the chain. I also noticed that the tensioner sprockets appeared to be made of plastic and the whole mechanism had a cheap plastic look and feel about it. I decided to return the bike as I would doubt even with those problems fixed that you'd get more than a couple seasons out of it before something else went wrong. Its too bad because except for the drive train it looks like an ok bike, this would be better off with an internal 3 speed hub gear rather than a cheapo 7 speed derailer system. Ended up returning it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Pleasantly surprised

I'll be honest. I wasn't expecting much from this bike. I just wanted a cheap alternative to riding my unbelievably expensive Dutch bike when the weather was nasty and the roads were salt covered. For that I wanted cheap, aluminum and moderately comfortable. Turns out this not only fit the bill but exceeded it. The bike is extremely comfortable, a very smooth and quiet ride and light. It's a pleasure to ride and seems well put together and sturdy.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

I placed the order for this bike just after midnight and received an email before noon notifying me that it was ready for pickup. Service was quick and courteous and the bike was well assembled. When I got home I noticed the tires weren't fully inflated. Other than that, service was great. The bike seems very solid, the fenders and carrier are very sturdy. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather, I haven't had a chance to ride it.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

Recently purchased this bike to replace my mountain bike. I ride this bike causually around the campgrounds we visit. I also chose this bike to commute back and forth to work (10 minute bike ride). So far its been awesome. Very comfortable and easy to ride. Within a couple of weeks of riding I developed a problem with both of my pedals. Brought the bike back to Canadian tire and they replaced both pedals, no questions asked. Overall very happy with the bike. Would reccomend this bike to friends.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      A good bike overall

It's not bad for the paved trail and leisure city ride. I rode to work everyday for 1 hour (13km, markham area, with lots of up and down hills) and it works prefect on paved roads. Here are some note you might want to consider before you purchase this bike: - There is no suspension on this bike, so you will feel a lot of vibration transfered to your hand and wrist, and bum of course, if you ride in a bad conditioned road. I suggest to have a gel or memory foam cover on the seat. - It's not heavy, I'd say over all it's less than 30lb. It's easy to lift this bike up if you decide to carry it and walk for a short distance. - 700c is a well known road tire. It can also handle a tiny bit off-road. I rode on gravel, muddy trail and grass with this bike, and it survives as long as you ride slow, dispite the strong vibration and shock though. But don't try to ride it in a heavy terrain or some mountain bike trail, that's definately go beyond this bike's ability. - You can put about 50 psi - 70 psi into it's tire. I put the minimum (50psi) because I have to deal with some gravel on my way to work. - There is only one bottle holder position on the frame. If you take it for a long ride, you better have bike pannier attached on the rear rack and pack more water with you. - This bike also equiped with a kickstand. It's not shown on the picture but it's there in Canadian Tire. It's good to have one, especially some time you want to stop riding and grab something from your rear pannier. - There is no latch on the seat post to quick adjust the seat position, but it's adjustable. I suggest to have a mult-tool handy to loose the screw on the seat post and adjust the postion you want. -I wish there are more speed options for this bike. 7-speed isn't bad for the leisure city ride, but definately not enough for some serious hill climb. Overall it's a good bike. It's very practical, and very good looking. I will do a round bike trip in May from Toronto to Sibbald Point, let's see how this bike will performe then.

      Yes, I recommend this product.
