Placed it on the counter where I had discovered the mouse had been eating my bread. Baited with peanut butter. Came back 3 hours later and found it licked clean and could see the footprints in the glue!

WASTE OF MONEY AT ANY PRICE

Bought these because of price .HUGE mistake all the trap does.Feed the mice. Should be called a mouse feeder instead,Perhaps a name change ,Like Feedmaster..First time i tried to set one the plastic paddle came off after fiddling with that could not get it to trip had to adjust trip arm so paddle could drop enough ..Figure mice have 50/50 chance with this trap.I think the mouse I did trap had put on so much weight from previous feedings it finally tripped it!

Had the same experience as another writer here. The catch wire was too long and would not release the trap. One of the other traps broke when I went to test it. One night I checked on one of the traps and it found it went off...but no mouse. Caught nothing with these traps. Going to get glue pad and see how that will work.

Half was defective, other half ineffective

I bought a 6 or 8 of those traps. After I set them I realized that roughly half of them did not work at all due to manufacturing defect - the trigger wire was too long end pressing down the bait did not engage the trap. I fixed few and left 4 set - after a week no mouse had been caught. I've added 2 plain old-school traps baited with bred and nut butter and soon one of those plain old traps caught the mouse. That would mean that these traps are 50% less effective then old style trap.
