I read in here how this oil does not burn off in Cumins like Rotella, Rotella failed me too. Second year now on Vecton, 12 valve Cumins smoother, quieter, and NO TOP UP as in Rotella use. Yesterday at Can Tire on sale Rotella T4 was 99.00, T5 109.00, vecton 129.00 reg price. I paid the extra cost for Vecton for reasons above, have driven my Cumins since 2002 and never sounded or performed better. Changing oil with Vecton in case tractor soon too. I have nothing against Shell, since 2006 i have used Motomaster ACEA EURO in all my gas enginesfor higher add pack protection due to zinc starved sn/sm oil. I have also used castrol 0-40 acea poa made in Belgium too. Castrol Vecton seems to perform in diesel heavy use as does Shell GTL acea and acea POA Castrol for gas engines. Vecton now my only go to oil even for some gas engines like my 22r toyota.. good oil IMO.

Good price. Great diesel oil.

Good synthetic blend at a decent price. Quieted down the typical ‘typewriter tick’ in my old LMM Duramax after 1200km. Engine is super quiet now and runs like new. It always was a bit noisy when running Rotella blended or full synthetic so I figured I’d give this a try. I don’t think I’ll go back as this seems to be the superior oil. Over 20,000km and several oil changes since I made the switch.

  • A: Castrol Vecton 15W-40 CK-4 is not formulated for marine applications and, as such, is not recommended for use in this type of equipment.
