It is a replacement due to rust.

I bought one 5 years ago for my daughter and it started to rust. I bought this same model and I am sure that it will rust.
It is the cheapest though. Next time I will save up and buy one of better quality.

A: 8.9kg seems too heavy. It's difficult to weigh directly, and my scale isn't the best, but last I checked it seemed more like 10lbs. I weigh about 215 and I stuck a couple 10lb plates on there and lifting it only changed the scale to 240. Actually I think I need a new scale.

Q: Hi Guys. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what clamps will fit this bar? I do more explosive lifts (cleans, snatches, etc) and with a few reps, the provided screw-on collars start loosening. I got the CAP 1” clamps, and they were a bit too big.

A: The best and cheapest way to fix the clamps from loosening is to first put a rubber washer then the clamp. The rubber washers can be found in the plumbing section and cost a couple of dollars. Usually the clamps have a rubber o-ring to stop slipping but sometimes they aren’t sufficient to stop them from loosening.
