we bought ours in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic. really no complaints. The base is solid and the structure looks like new (just the base was kept outside during winter). the canopy started to fade but not really an issue yet. The only issue is with the corner arms pockets the stitches have started to give. Wii wish CT was selling a canopy replacement as I am sure the structure will be good for many more years.

Great quality, easy to assemble, reasonably priced. Nice to have the base in sections, makes moving the umbrella easy. Great rotatability, can swing the shade over the above ground pool and then rotate off to the side to collapse the shade. Like the colour, think it won't fade noticably.

Overall Love the umbrella - however when tilted on an angle the sun still manages to pierce through fabric and if you are opposite it you have to look away 😎 🤷‍♀️

A: I’m not sure what your question is, but it slides up and down on the upright pole and the umbrella part tilts to block the sun.

Q: Can this umbrella be mounted directly to a deck or does the base need to be filled with sand or water?

A: Clearly the manufacturer is not in favour of a direct mount, but it does have the appropriate holes in the metal base legs and I successfully used structural screws to anchor it. Looks better, works better, I guess I may have impacted warranty.
