Q: Is the butcher block top made of solid wood, or does it have a veneer surface? Also, what is the height between the top shelf and the bottom of the drawer?

A: The butcher block is solid wood with a covering over the wood but not a wood veneer but a fine decorative wood pattern. The block top is heavy. The distance between the top shelf and the bottom of the drawer is 9 3/4 inches.

Q: I was wondering if the width measurement of 30 inches is including the towel bar on the one side, if so is it removable and what would the width measurement be without it on,, I think 30 inches would be a bit tight. Thankyou
