It wasn’t to hard to assemble but you need two people to put it onto the base . It wouldn’t open at first it felt like the string was stuck but it ended up to be two ribs were caught on another rib once they were untangled it worked perfectly I got it on special not sure if I would pay full price but if you want a lot of coverage this is the umbrella it cover a 6 ft table with room to spare I would recommend

This is a fantastic umbrella that is easy to put up and down.

Purchased this umbrella two days ago. We just finished having a deck built. There was an Alberta Maple tree that was probably about 70 years old. It had a huge canopy, over 100 feet wide, and the tree was about as tall. Needless to say, it provided excellent sun blocking. We had a wind storm a couple of weeks ago, the the tree, which had three main trunks, developed an 8-foot split going right through the tree. An Arborist examined the tree, and strongly recommended that it be taken down. We found a professional tree removal service that we liked. He came and looked at the tree, and said that it had to come down and he would do it the next day. It took his crew two days to do the job. Our deck was now fully exposed to the noon to evening sun. We needed shade, and fast. We searched the website, and found this patio umbrella, that largest available. I ordered it, and pick it up the next day. My wife and i assembled the umbrella in about 1.5 hours (we're not very handy)! Assembly was fairly straightforward, although there was some difference between the written instructions and the video. We had some trouble opening up the umbrella as a couple of the arms got stuck. There was a note that said to loosen two of the arms, but it was not clear exactly which ones. We did get it fully opened up. It really is impressive! It covers a huge area, and the adjustability makes it quite versatile. We think that the crank handle may not stand up to constant use, but time will tell. One side of the two LED lights did not light up. That may just be due one cell not getting enough light yet. We'll look tomorrow. We are very happy with the umbrella. Yes, it is quite expensive. But compared to a solid structure like a pergola, it is a bargain. And we like the open feel it provides. Finally, when we don't need it, the umbrella folds away and doesn't take up too much room (we have a large deck). If your deck is smaller, you may find the size overwhelming. Forgive the long story, but we wanted to provide some context

Great coverage. Aesthetically pleasing.

Pretty easy to set up. The most time consuming part was filling the bases with sand. The rotation is exactly what we were looking for… we have a very wide deck with a lounging area on one side and patio table on the other. This setup will allow for some shade on either side! We will be having our movie night under the stars tonight and can start earlier with the shade provided by the umbrella. The only thing we cannot seem to find is a cover for this. It’s highly likely we’ll take the umbrella off the base for winter, but wouldn’t mind a cover for the other seasons. It’s an awkward size, so traditional covers won’t fit. The hunt continues!
