Q: Are the bottoms completely smooth with no roughness?

A: I answered this and yes most of them seem okay, but a few of the places and saucers are rough at the bottom. I checked out the set.

A: The material is porcelain so I would assume you can put it in the oven, porcelain is a type of ceramic and there's all kinds of ceramic things that can be put in the oven so I'm not sure why Canadian Tire answered no. Canadian Tire staff need to know their products and what their products can and can't do, even if you Google if porcelain dinnerware is oven safe AI will even say yes.
