Very pretty chair set. Seated based are metal slats. Seat cushion is quite firm and hopefully will soften up. Back cushion is very comfortable and soft. The chairs can stack for storage, which was a huge selling point for me. I got them on an end of season sale of 50% off, which was a bonus and great buy.
