I love this lamp!

It's not great to read by - which I was hoping for - but it casts a lovely soft light on my balcony for an intimate late-night conversation. It looks like the picture and the pieces are metal, not plastic. I wouldn't leave it outside permanently, but why would you need to? I'm going to leave the stand in position and take the light out and hang it up when I want to use it, and I think it will be a great complement to my condo balcony furniture. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Disappointing

Looks good and gives a pleasant light, however, it is definitely not weatherproof since rain has gathered in the glass globe. Poor design. It needs a cap over the battery compartment to prevent leakage.

Not working

I have had these lamps for more then a year. Worked well last year but now not working at all. Water gets into the battery area and in the light, and now will not turn on. They are now just for show.

Not suitable for outdoors

I just recently bought this lamp. I was very happy with the look of this lamp and was eager to have it in my gazebo and see how it would look at night, but I never got to. The very day that I put it in my gazebo, there was a breeze (no exaggeration, just a moderate breeze) and it toppled over, smashing the glass of the bulb. The base seemed heavy to me, but it's not enough to support the light if there is any wind at all. Definitely disappointed. I would recommend this lamp for its look, but only for use as an indoor lamp.

I love these lamps! they give such a nice glow on my deck. Only one problem....I want more!! Will buy at least one more for my deck next summer.
