Solar Unit Not Waterproof - Instant Corrosion

Love what this lantern set looks like. After 1 month of use neither of the lanterns would light. I opened up the solar charging units to replace the batteries and all metal parts on both of them were completely corroded. Solar panels and recharge units are not waterproof or at least humidity resistant. Not recommended.

Flora Green Nesting Solar Lantern

The cutouts make them shine beautifully. They went through a nasty wind and rain. The handle is very stiff and you have to pull it to get it in. The wind and rain was so strong it pulled the handle out and pulled out one of the solar boxes. And they both still work!

Q: How do you assemble the Canvas Flora Nesting Lanterns? The top is steady. In the box, there is a hook. It looks like it is needed to put the top on not for hanging the lantern.

A: No assembly required. Maybe you have a different lantern? The top just comes off like a lid.
