Bon investissement.

Outstanding cookware!

I have cooked with Paderno pots for 40 years, but had to upgrade due to recent purchase of Induction range. These pots are remarkable- they heat up evenly and quickly (still on last days of gas range). Note- they are NOT non- stick, so don’t expect them to behave that way. They are heavy are really well made. I’m thrilled with the whole set!

Canadian made and extremely good quality

I bought this set because I couldn’t find the Mayer Copperclad. Meyer owns both and these were in stock. They are fantastic! Love them. I haven’t used them slot yet but the quality is evident right out of the box.

Yay Canadian

Solid set of pots and pans with nice variety of sizes. They heat up quickly on low heat with a gas stove so energy efficient. Pot lids tend to get warm so use an oven mitt.

Bought this set on sale while we were looking for another set. Glad we bought this one. Heats up fast & evenly although it was a bit of a learning curve to keep some of the food from sticking(i.e.eggs) but love it!

Questions

1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: How does the copper trim hold up? The only two reviews that were not incentivized referred to this problem. Is it just a cleaning issue ?

1 Answer
  • A: Copper is an excellent material for use on cookware as it delivers excellent/uniform heat distribution (avoids hot or cold spots across the cooking surface) and it also provides more specific temperature control (heats up and cools down more quickly than other materials). However, copper does require slightly more maintenance than stainless steel, for instance, to maintain its shine. Copper will develop what is known as “patina”, which is a weathered appearance, with use. Some users like the look of this patina and choose to leave it. If you want to restore the lustre and shine of the original appearance though, typically all that is required is the occasional cleaning with a copper cookware cleaning product - like BarKeepers Friend. It is an additional maintenance step occasionally, but a relatively easy one.

Q: How do I clean a large Paderno roasting pan? I am partially paralyzed and bedridden so I need advice. If you offer a Paderno trial set our 3 adult kids cook for us. We have Nepalese, East Indian, French, Scottish and Indigenous recipes. Made in Canada eh

  • A: My apologies but I am a bit unclear about your question. If the question is about the Paderno Copper Core cookware set being made in Canada, then YES, this item is proudly made in Prince Edward Island. If the question is how to best clean a Paderno roasting pan, please advise which roasting pan you are referring to. What material is the pan made from? Is it Stainless Steel or does it have a non-stick coating? Depending on this, the proper cleaning method may vary. Thank you

Q: Are these dishwasher safe?

1 Answer
  • A: No, this cookware is not recommended for dishwasher use due to the exposed copper which will tarnish as a result of harsh dishwashing detergents.
