Product Details
Perfect for mounting your spare tire vertically to the side of trailer tongue or frame rails. This sturdy spare tire carrier mounts to the trailer tongue in the front of the trailer. The offset design moves the tire and wheel up and away from the trailer frame to improve ground clearance. No drilling is required to install the carrier because the included U-bolts clamp the carrier to the trailer frame. The crisscross design increases the holding power of the U-bolts. Mouting u-bolts may be crossed to fit shorter frames or may be installed parallel for more reach.

Holds 4- or 5-lug spare wheels and fits 8" (20 cm) to 15" (38 cm) wheels
Not compatible with 5-on-5 or 5-on-5-1/2" bolt pattern
Made with extra heavy-duty welded steel construction
Offset height raises tire away from trailer frame
Vertical offset: 5" (12 cm)
Side offset: 4-1/2" (11 cm)
Comes complete with all zinc plated hardware
Material: 3/16" (0.47 cm) thick galvanized steel

Q: Will this work with 5 on 5 bolt pattern
a year agoA: Absolutely, it will. The top bolt is the only one that goes in through a bolt hole. The lower bolt is used to lock the spare tire in place.

Q: Would C.E. Smith Heavy Duty Spare Tire Carrier, 3/16-in be suitable to hold 6 lug wheel ST225/75D15-D6?
2 years agoA: Since the actual attachment point of the wheel to the carrier is through a single lug nut hole.. it will adapt to allmost any type of wheel. 4-6-8 lug wheel is irrelevant. They will all work with this carrier.

a year agoA: Yes, I have this mounted on 2x2". The short bolts can do 2x3, and the long bolts can do 3x3
