Questions

1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: Can I carry this pocket knife legally with me in Canada?

1 Answer
  • A: Knife laws in Canada are not about the size but the intended use as far as I understand it. If you plan to carry it to use it for self defence it’s illegal. If you carry it to use it as a tool for cutting things it’s legal. That’s my understanding of the law anyway.

Q: Where are Buck knives manufactured? I thought in USA, just purchased a 325 Colleague made in china.I am going to return knife. Have owned Buck knives in the past and have no complaints until now. Are all from china now?

1 Answer
  • A: Some of the knives we have in our stores from Buck are still made in the USA. Others are made in China. On the back of the packaging it will identify where each is made.

Q: 3CR13 is a Chinese steel, which is fine for the money. With only a 1 year warranty, l assume the knife is marked "made in China" and not made in the USA?

1 Answer
  • A: Guess l can answer my own question since l bought the knife. First of all it is made in China, but it is actually surprisingly well made. The blade is 420JC, not 3CR13 that is listed. And it has the Buck forever warranty on the packaging, not the one year listed on the advert. So the add has the wrong steel, wrong product name and the wrong warranty listed.
