Chauffe terrasse black heater patio

Q: Does the unit have a door to take the tank in and out or do you need to lift the base apart?

  • A: One has to lift the base in order to place the propane tank. Hope this answers your question. Cheers

Q: What is the best way to move the heater once installed and has a propane tank inside. I am afraid to pull on the post and tip it back on the wheels as it is heavy. What do you recommend?

3 Answers
  • A: PMac, If you are concerned about the overall weight being unwieldy, a suggestion might be to remove the 20 lb. tank to make it lighter overall. The wheel assembly is designed with the weight of the Patio Heater in mind, and should move fairly easily on any level, smooth surface. Q: What safety features has that unit ? Tip over shut off?

2 Answers
  • A: I purchased the patio heater in April of this year. Its a very sturdy unit with the propane tank inside. Its too heavy to tip over on its own. It doesn’t answer the tip over shut off question but it wont go down without someone forcing it.

Q: Are these safe to use inside a large tent? (70x40x10 feet)

2 Answers
  • A: No, the ten foot height is not enough to dissipate the heat from the top of the heater. You should not use the heater in any quasi indoor setting. The upper radiator/reflector gets quite hot.

Q: How long would a single tank of gas last for if the unit was run on high all the time?

2 Answers
  • A: Tjav, The propane is used from a 20 lb. tank while set on the highest setting, it should last approximately 10.5 hours, if on low, it should last approximately 17 hours. Q: Can we put this in a covered deck? If so, what does the ceiling clearance need to be?

2 Answers
  • A: Bob27, It can be placed on a covered deck if you have the required clearance. Our recommendations are: The unit must be used in a very well ventilated area, this means it cannot be used indoors or in an enclosed space. It is perfectly safe to put the unit on a real wooden surface, concrete, a rock surface or stone as long as the surface is flat and leveled. The unit must be kept at least 10 feet away from all combustible materials on all sides of the unit and must at least have a 3ft clearance from any surrounding wall of surface. It must also have a minimum clearance of 2 feet above the reflector. Please note that placing this under overhanging trees and shrubs is not recommended. If you have other questions about the fire table, please contact us at Happy2Help@Bondmfg.com or through Live Chat M-F 8am-4:30pmPST at www.Bondmfg.com. Have a great day!
