Don't Buy This

Bought this product in the store without seeing the reviews. It is overly sensitive and will turn on randomly throughout the day. Sometimes it turns off then clicks on again immediately. I removed it and will be getting a Leviton one.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy Installation

The instructions that come with this are detailed and easy to follow. The diagrams are clear and are great to fall back on. I recommend that you read the instructions carefully and fully before starting the installation.
The dials used to program this controller are found under the bottom switch cover. I didn't need any tools to pry it off but it does require a bit of force to pull it. I used a small screwdriver to adjust the time on and to set the control to auto sense with low sensitivity.
I really like that it has a LED indicator on the front to show when it is on and that it fits in with my existing Decora style light switch.
This will keep my bathroom properly ventilated by turning on automatically even if I forget to turn on the fan. I like the peace of mind that if I rush out in the morning the fan will automatically turn off as well.

Sensitive but Effective

Once installed, it does what it's supposed to in regards to detecting humidity and automatically turning on, as well as turning off. However, I found that even on the least sensitive settings, that it was still a little overly sensitive especially considering I'm on the prairies where our relative humidity is low to begin with. Often this turns on several times throughout the day even when the bathroom has not been used recently.

Nice idea - needs improvement

We used this item for about 2 weeks. Installation was pretty easy however understanding how to set it up and finding the right settings is not quite so easy or. no recommended settings. We installed this in our master bathroom and had to adjust the settings a few times as it seems to be way too sensitive to humidity. For example, it would turn in after 30 seconds of brushing your teeth. The major issue with this product for us was that it would never turn off when it was supposed to. The fan could easily run for hours or overnight unless we manually turned it off. Overall, it is not worth the trouble of having this over the manual fan. We will be reinstalling our regular fan switch and discontinuing use of this product.

Convenient Automated Fan Switch

I installed this in the kid’s bathroom as they never remember to turn of the fan. This switch works great at sensing moisture and will turn on shortly after a shower starts and runs for a set amount of time, which is adjustable. The installation process was straight forward. It took me longer to find the correct breaker than it did to install the switch. The only concern I have with the switch is that it will sometimes go off when the house gets overly warm around 26 C. I adjusted the sensitivity to humidity which helped a bit, but I could not get it to stop going off due to warmth completely. When the house isn't as warm the switch works great at only running when necessary.
