The durable hood vent is up to 20% more effective at removing pollutants than the leading competitor with power ventilation at 350 Max Blower CFM to capture and remove smoke and odours from the kitchen. The Glacier range hood is also up to 44% quieter: 1.5 sones is equivalent to a refrigerator running, so it won't interfere with daily life. The EZ1 Install System allows for a quick and easy one-person installation, and the ENERGY STAR Certification is both code compliant and provides cost savings. Fan blade removal on 30 inch BKDB1 series

Installation was easy (by my son) and functions well. I think my stainless steel range hood is now discontinued, it has push buttons for lights and fan control. I would like to remove the fan blade for cleaning. I have removed the mesh filters and the clip from the fan blade. The blade does not slide off the motor shaft, the base of it seems wider than the shaft. I can’t find instructions for the fan removal. You can order a new fan for it so it must come off. How do you remove the fan blade on this model please?

Great Styling For A Cook's Kitchen

Great improvement in color & style over previous range hood. Luv the up dated styling. Bottom of cabinet isn't flush so couldn't use easy brackets. Two person install was easy & quick, though. Airflow is strong which explains an expected loud noise level, in high position. Fits great below cabinet. Nice profile. Will be using unducted & want to add charcoal filters for the occasional sautéing & broiler use. The LED lights are bright & make my stove top shine nicely - like showroom quality. Love the look of the aluminum filters - provides update cook's kitchen look & feel.

Nice features, hard to install

This was not a one-person installation project. I am an experienced DIY and had trouble holding and mounting the fan even with the EZ brackets. The good news is that I replaced a 20+ year old Nutone that needed to be retired. What an amazing step up the GLA1 is. Quiet fan, bright lights, nice design. Like another reviewer mentioned, I wish this model had a night light mode.
