what we purchased July 17/15 with this product code is a Broadstone battery-operated fan with LED light, and is a different configuration; the LED light is a ring that is separate from the fan, and each (the light ring and the fan) can pivot in different directions independent of one another. perhaps the product we purchased is a new version, or maybe the one here online is the new version, who knows. the version that we purchased is excellent; just enough light to comfortably illuminate our entire tent (for a family of 5) without being glaring, and the two speed fan was just enough to keep the warm air moving about so it wasn't too hot during the day. a bit heavy so you have to keep this in mind when considering where to hang it, but the handle / bracket might even work well as a stand if it is too heavy for the ceiling of your tent. can be used just as well as a low light flash light or fan on a table. best part was it didn't chew through batteries. we were prepared to pay regular / full price but were pleased to find it on sale at the time. great addition to our camping gear!

Not sold anymore

I went to buy this today and the one in stock is not what is shown here to my disappointment. The new one has a smaller fan from what I can tell and has no night light feature. Even worse, the motor for the fan is extremely loud even on low setting! Will be returning asap.

I have had this fan for at least 3 years and don't go anywhere without it over the summer. I've used it for a week (bedtime only) for a week on one set of batteries. The fan is whisper quiet, the light is a bonus.

Q: How long would the fan run for before needing new batteries?

A: I had the fan on high for two nights and had shut it off during the day and the batteries were still going strong for me on the second night. I didn't need to replace them at all.

Q: Weird Question-Voltage What voltage does the fan require to run? this way I can see about picking up the best batteries for it and try to maximize its power usage.

A: Product 76-2759 is powered by 4*D size batteries and the voltage for each battery is 1.5 volts. Actually it’s ok to either use carbon-zinc battery or alkaline battery for this model.We suggest to choose alkaline battery because the voltage decreases more slowly during the use.
