Should have read the reviews

Bought this because my wife likes to drink coffee throughout the day. The thermal carafe only keeps the coffee warm for about 45 mins to an hour. But it makes good coffee she says. Wouldn't have spent that much for just a good cup of coffee, sorry.

This was. Christmas gift for my husband. I love how quick it brews. The carafe was what made me want to get it because we hate our coffee being burned/cooked while using a glass carafe. The only down side is that the coffee doesnt stay hot after an hour like we had hoped. Even after heating it up with hot water first, it doesn't stay hot. It does stay warm. Thats the only disappointment

Quality machine

So far, so good. Very fast, and the quality of the coffee produced is excellent. Carafe keeps the coffee hot much longer than I expected, and flavour doesn't degrade over time as it does with a heated pot. As others have noted, included documentation is sparse, and the full manual is a bit hard to find online; i resorted to Google to find it, as it was well hidden on the website. Haven't used the cold brew or single cup features yet. Expensive machine, but so far appears to be worth it.

Inconsisten operation

This is the third Breville coffeemaker we've bought, and it's the worst. About half the time, it only brews four out of the eight cups of water in the tank. Other times, it brews all eight cups. I've checked for any obstructions and haven't found any, and I've checked the water tank to be sure it's in properly. But sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. Also, unlike the previous Breville coffeemakers, it requires you to remove the cap on the carafe if you want to brew six or fewer cups. Granted, the coffeemakers looks great, and when it brews the whole pot, the coffee is excellent. But surely there are less troublesome coffeemaker out there.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Excellent coffee.

Very pleased . All components are easy to wash. Brews coffee very quickly, stays hot in the insulated carafe, nice pour without dripping. Instruction booklet lacks detail, online videos are helpful.
Many brewing options available, programming can seem a bit complicated. Would have appreciated a finish that didn’t show water spots .
