The blender shaft (bell) on Braun hand blenders is made of stainless steel and is not coated with Teflon (PTFE). The yellowish tint you’re noticing is typically due to natural discoloration from use—often caused by foods like turmeric, carrots, squash, tomato sauces, or spices—rather than a coating. Helpful tips: Discoloration does not affect performance or safety. To help remove staining, try blending warm water with a drop of dish soap for 20–30 seconds, then rinse. For stubborn stains, wiping with a baking soda paste or a soft cloth dampened with white vinegar can help (avoid abrasive pads).
