Expensive but convenient

I've tested and done the math on these cylinders. They may say 60 litres of gas, but they don't produce 60L of fizzy water unless you only take it to the 1st (lowest) gas level. his produces a rather weak fizz. At the 3rd level you'll get about 12-15 litres of water. So, It works out to about 75 cents a litre. I can buy bottled carbonated water or club soda for a buck a litre on sale. So, yes, you save some money, but the main benefit is not having to haul the bottles home and not producing all that plastic waste.

Q: Why Do these sometimes come not filled full? And is there a way for you too see you getting a properly filled one? And has anyone else noticed you don't get as much as you should sometimes? Does anyone else only get 3 or 4 uses from some of the bottles

A: A core charge, sometimes called a casting charge, is a form of deposit you pay on the canister to encourage customers to return these to be recycled properly. If it is the first time you are purchasing a canister, it will be subject to the $16.00 core charge. If you later exchange the cylinder, the core charge will be subtracted from the subtotal. If you are returning the empty canister without making a new purchase, a $1.00 fee will be refunded.

A: Yes they do expire...I found out when I went to exchange a cannister and happened to turn it over and look on the underneath of it and seen there was an expiration date. It gave the month and year.

A: I just tried this at my local CT, they denied me. Claimed the cylinders are 2 different product numbers and thats the reason they wont exchange blue for pink. However, the core price and full price are exactly the same and even the sodastream website offers this type of exchange. I'm going to try again when a local is working, the lady that was there today had no interest in having a conversation about it and wouldnt refer me to a manager to find out if it is a legit standard or her own made up rule. I'm going to keep trying until someone will do the exchange, just a matter of time until someone helps me with this I guess...

A: SodaStream does not currently operate an online or remote cylinder exchange program. We are working to launch a program! For now, empty cylinders must be exchanged at a participating retailer or spares can be purchased online at SodaStream.ca.

Q: Do you sell both the screw in canister as well as the pop in one? I have a screw in canister but bought a new one that is pop in only.
