Braun 14-Cup Coffee Maker

I bought this after opening a Cusinart for many years. I thought it looked like a similar choice for replacement. First, trying to set the time, etc, was probably the most frustrating and unintuitive experience of my life. Also, the “buttons” are not really buttons so it’s not even easy to tell if you are actually pressing anything. When I finally gave up on it for a while and decided I’d simply just make coffee with it, I was disappointed to find that after its brewed, the machine makes this mechanical clicking noises probably every minute or two (for the entire length of the “keep warm” time period. If you are someone who likes to sit in quiet and enjoy coffee, I wouldn’t recommend this machine. I returned it after one day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coffee maker is super easy to use and super compact for the amount of coffee it can brew. Its pretty easy to set up and has functions for different brew mods as well as temperature. Its also super easy to clean and not too heavy of a machine to move around the kitchen counter should you need to.

Makes a good amount of coffee. (14cup) The autobrew set up is not terribly user friendly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Braun Pro flavor coffee maker brews a good cup of coffee. I was a bit disappointed with some of the features beyond that. I timed the fast Brew function and versus the regular brew cycle, and for a 10-cup pot, fast brew took 10 minutes, and regular Brew took 12 minutes. I don't think that 2 minutes is really enough to make a difference in my morning routine. I was also disappointed that the iced coffee function, 1) requires 9 cups of ice, 2) still needs to be refrigerated afterwards. I would honestly make more sense to brew it without ice, and take that concentrated coffee, put it in the fridge, and add water or milk and ice later, like it's cold brew coffee. A smaller complaint, but I was also disappointed that the coffee maker uses a conic filter instead of a basket shaped one, but that's just because that is what I had in the house. But all of that aside, it's still brews a nice cup of coffee, which is the whole point of its existence. I personally will not trade in my old coffee maker for this one, but I also wouldn't tell anyone not to buy it.
