A good quality framing nailer at a good price

Purchased to replace an older nailer. Bostich has a good reputation and it was on sale. The nailer has performed well with nails ranging from 2 - 31/4". Have had some issues with the nailer not firing when at a sharp angle but otherwise no problems. Occasional double firing but that may be operator error.

So far all is good. It’s a bit heavy but it’s solid.. hopefully will last for a while.

Questions

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Q: Is this a clipped head or round head nailer?

2 Answers
  • A: There seems to be quite a bit of confusion around this. I contacted Bostitch this and it turns out this nailer can shoot full head nails as well. I've been using it with full round head nails since then.

Q: Do you carry the plastic collated nails for this product (framing nailer model #F21PL)? 3 1/2" and 2 1/2" screw shank?

2 Answers
  • A: F28WW stands for Framing, 28 degrees, wire weld nails. The nailer uses wire nails, not plastic.

Q: I'm wondering if this nail gun (Bostitch F28WW) has a contact trigger, sequential or both? Thanks

1 Answer
  • A: This product has both a sequential trip (Gray Trigger) and a contact trip (Black Trigger). Please reference page 4 and 5 of the user manual: https://www.canadiantire.ca/content/dam/canadian-tire/manuals/0588507P_EN_FR.pdf
