Great for our purpose

I bought this just a few weeks ago and it has drastically changed the air around us. Because of our open concept living space it has taken a while for it to reach the desired humidity level but we feel we can breathe easier and sleep better too. It is very quiet and leaves no white residue as described.

Easy to use, good value for money

I think it’s been 2 weeks since I started using it, so far so good. It’s been easy to clean. I chose to use distilled water despite the instructions saying it’s ok to use the tap water. I believe it helps to ensure the water in the tank stays fresh longer.

I think I wasted my money

The humidity gauge either isn’t working or the humidifier isn’t working. I feel I wasted my money but now it is past the 30 day point. It’s been about a month and a half. I have been following all instructions for filling and maintenance.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: The information booklet supplied with this device does say it can take tap water, but also it needs regular weekly maintenance by soaking the filter in water with a very specific concentration of citric acid to remove mineral deposits. I would then assume that if you have very hard water, it would be easier to maintain this humidifier if you filtered your water before adding it to the tank. I recommend viewing the Youtube video online.
