Q: Will this purify particles from smoke (in Ottawa, we are experiencing low air quality from distant wildfires) in an apartment? Windows are closed but we can still smell lingering smoke in the apartment.
2 years agoA: Hello Lynn I have found this purifier very helpful for the bedroom. There is a high setting that indicates orange or red when smoke is present. Close the door and leave it on for an hour and it the green light comes on. It should help your apartment if you go room by room.

Q: Is there any way to turn the light off, it is too bright at night.
2 years agoA: Yes you can turn the light off. Tap the switch until the blue light on the top of the unit is on the upper right side. It will then dim and the light will go out.

3 years agoA: It works better than HEPA, not sure what the other reviewer is saying about being disappointed. The 3 tier filter on the 211 is amazing.

2 years agoA: The Blueair air purifier lightens all top buttons in red and the air quality indicator light is red too. So you are not able to use it until you change the filter. It happened after 1 year of use. It is recommended that you change the filter every 6 months.
