Q: Do you have to use app to operate?
a year agoA: The app is not required to operate the device. There are touch buttons on the top to control the fan speed, put it into "auto" mode, and to turn it on/off. The app allows for additional features, like turning on/off when you come home or adjusting the brightness of the buttons.

Q: Will it pick up airborne pet hair and dander?
a year agoA: I have noticed a real decrease in dander that builds up on top of the coffee tables and glass TV stand. The bottom screen of the machine needs to be cleaned regularly because it gets full of dog hair. I run the machine on high almost all the time.
