Q: Does the saucer come off or is it attached?

A: Yes, it comes off, although it may not be immediately obvious how by looking. You have to reach inside the pot and press hard on each of the three bumps to make them pop out and release the tray.

Q: Can I bottom water my plants with this planter?

A: The tray at the bottom catches water drained from top watering. If you removed the tray you could bottom water the plant by putting it in a tray of water, but it might be difficult to put the tray back on the bottom of the planter again.
