Cannot close the basket/pan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this air fryer in April and was excited to use it but after only using it a few times, now the basket part will not close. How can I resolve this issues? Can I get a replacement basket? I'd hate to have to go buy a new one.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This air after works great, I had purchased 2 different brands before the Black and Decker. They did not last, this one is amazing and good quality. It's also east to clean!

A: Seems its's just the styling that's the difference. I like the more modern look of the HF110SBD that CT sells over the other models most retailers sell.

Q: 390 F seems low for fryer The temperature control seems to be well below that of conventional fryers, how does that affect the cooking time and texture of food ?

A: I found the cooking time is less than conventional oven, but maybe longer than conventional fryers. It took around 10 -15 minutes to cook chicken drumsticks. Need to check the food from time to time. Don't trust the suggested time on the machine. The food can burn fast inside the machine.

Q: Air Fryer not heating up / turning on I've been more than happy with the results of the air fryer but I just put some food in to make a meal and half way through the light that indicates it's heating up turned off. Won't turn on.

A: La friteuse de l'air ne frire pas. Les beignes sont frits. Si les beignets sont congelés puis mis dans la friteuse de l'air il va les faire cuire à la place. Pâte humide ne doit pas être mise dans une friteuse d'air.

Q: Specs say that it has two fans. I only see one fan at the top. Where is the other fan?

A: One fan is visible to the eye as it is the one that circulates the air during the cooking process; however the second fan is inside the enclosed area. This second fan keep works in unison to the visible fan to speed up the cooking time and makes sure that there are no cold spots all while keeping to cooking the food much like a convection feature in a traditional oven.

Q: Does Black & Decker have a recipe web site for this airfryer?

A: Unfortunately this Black & Decker does not have an on line recipe book or come with the recipe book like other airfryers do. That is very disappointing considering this is such a good product. I suppose you can use the recipe book Phillips puts out for their airfryer.

Q: Airfryers like the Phillips say to cook homemade fries at 180C so why does this Purifryer say to set the temperature to 200C ?

A: Black & Decker is WRONG. 200C is way too hot, and will result in burnt fries. All Airfryers use 180C to cook homemade & frozen french fries.
