A bought this drill a few moths ago and it is great. Very easy to use and enough power to get the job done. Got tired of always having to charge up batteries, so I wanted corded.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Fatal Design Flaw

Purchased this drill after researching various options. Despite an overall good design and some unexpected extra features, there is one design flaw that is so important, it renders the drill virtually useless. That is the inability to tighten bits in the chuck(!). In all other drills, you either use an old fashioned chuck key to tighten bits, or the chuck 'locks' while you turn the tightening collar secure. With this drill, the chuck turns freely while you attempt (in vain) to tighten your bit, resulting in a drill bit that often siezes in the hole you're trying to drill. Either I'm a complete idiot, or this is the worst design I've ever experienced (in a drill---there are countless examples of poor design elsewhere). It's like buying a beautiful new car without a steering wheel, designed to be steered by turning a little knob with your fingertips. It would work.......kind of....

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Can this drill drive 3/8" sockets? Or any adapter is needed?

    1 Answer
    • A: While it is possible, using this tool (with drill head attachment) for driving sockets is not recommended as it is not impact driver nor rated as such.

Q: drill in concrete I wanted to drill on concrete wall of my home not much (may be two holes). This drill is fit for that? I am not professional user just for home use.

    1 Answer
    • A: This is a common question BUT we would need to know a couple of things prior properly answering the question. · Are you using the regular drill head (that comes standard on Matrix drill skus) or the hammer drill head (54-3180 / BDCMTHD)? · You can use either head but you will find increased performance using the 54-3180 /BDCMTHD hammer drill head as it provides better function to most masonry drill bits as this has better efficiency & allows the masonry bit to also work more efficiently.
