This griddle can take the heat. It can do up to 6 burgers at a time with ease, the warming tray is perfect for bacon, fried onions or mushrooms, or even a single bun or two. I will buy again.

Q: The title of this item states "Black & Decker Family-Sized Non-Stick Electric Griddle w/ Warming Tray, Black, 18x10-in." This implies a cooking surface of 18x10, which is 180 in². So how can the specifications list the cooking surface to be 272.80 in²?

A: At the longest of lengths for the cooling surface it is 19¾ x 9½. Maybe if the warming tray and 'grease trap' we're included it would reach 272.8? Definitely not the cooking surface.

A: You can use the griddle on a kitchen countertop. The griddle is on legs that keep the cook surface a few inches above the countertop. There is no heat generated below the griddle top,

Q: what size is this item what size is this item as in the cooking surface?

A: The cooking surface area is 20.5 by 10.5 inches with a short (1 inch) back splash and dripping channel around three sides emptying into a plastic pan underneath. The surface is large enough to cook five pancakes approximately 4-5 inches in diameter.
