J'ai malheureusement eue le même problème que le commentaire précédent, soit en faisant un potage le récipient s'est fissuré de bas en haut. Donc direction poubelle pour un appareil utilisé seulement quelques fois !

Typical B&D quality

I don't use a blender very often, but this unit started acting up shortly after I bought it.
It never seemed to run smoothly, and it would over heat and trip the protection so it wouldn't work again until it cooled down.
Like most B&D products, another one for the junk heap.

More stuff for landfill...

Product is flawed - material in the hopper does not circulate properly through blades. Don' t buy this product unless you are willing to prod and poke with a wooden spoon. Also, the spindle on our base stripped after 20 or so uses and is not serviceable. It is disappointing that a company like B&D does not test its own products or engineer them to last.

Q: Manufacturer describes 450W of power but the packaging says 750W. Other models state only one Power. Why there are 2 powers ?

A: we call out 2 powers—standard and peak. The 750w of peak power refers to the maximum instantaneous power transmitted over 100 milliseconds. The 450w is the standard rated power by UL standards. Both power ratings are certified by UL test standards.

Q: Removable parts are stainless steel or not? Several previous blenders have failed (not from abuse or accident) due to plastic parts that crack.

A: The blades are stainless steel and can be removed for easy cleaning. You need to be very careful as the blades are quite sharp. The rim that those blades sit and that screws it onto the blender is plastic but is a durable plastic that should not break.
