Q: Can this console be attached to a rear bench seat with a 3 point seatbelt?

A: It is indeed designed to utilize the seat belt to hold it in place by placing the waist portion of the belt just below the padded lid and let it wrap around the unit. We have been advise that some 3 point seat belts tension may too high causing the unit to lift when there is nothing in the storage area or adjustable drink holders.
