A piece broke off in the first 10 minutes, far too loud

Bought, picked up and put it together Nov 2. I used it later the same day. I did one bedroom, and went on to the second bedroom and something broke off and went flying. From when I turned it on to when I stopped using it stunk like burnt rubber. My son who is on the spectrum couldn't handle how loud it was even with his noise cancelling headphones! It is VERY loud. I have never owned a Bissell vacuum before, I have always bought another brand and wish I stuck with what I know. I read the reviews, they're excellent, looked up the product and felt confident with the purchase. This unit is clunky, does not move smoothly, it is too high off the ground to fit under furniture, cord is shorter than stated and as previously mentioned it is very loud. I have never had such a loud vacuum. This unit really seems to be an older generation vacuum. I am very disappointed with this purchase, and do not recommend it.

I have been using this vacuum cleaner for over a year, and still perform as when it was brand new. I use it everyday and the belt has no sign of aging or slipping, and the suction still perfect
