Customer service person was out of line

we opened the package and read the instructions and the unit was not recommended for our floor types. We only removed the top handle from the package and after reading the instructions we put the packaging together as it was and sealed with tape. We returned to customer service and they opened the package and insisted it had been used because "there was dust on the cord." We insisted we had not even removed it completely from the package and that we did not know the unit was not suitable for our floors until we opened the package and read the instructions. The customer service person stated over and over again with smile on her face very loudly in front of all those in line behind us that the unit had been used insinuating we were lying and said they she we would allow us to switch for another item. I don't care about the credit as much as the whole experience was very embarrassing and the customer service person was completely out of line and continued to say the unit was used.

A: No... It's for water only. Given the degree of heat involved using anything else could be very dangerous.
