(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) While in use , it was on my loveseat and leaked water from beneath leaving water where I didn't want any so I put it on the floor and there was still water coming out from under the unit...
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: is there a vacuum only option? Can this vacuum first and then steam separately so that I can vacuum areas like the emergency brake and dashboard (without any water) or do I need to buy a car vacuum also and then use this only for steaming?

Q: Can this product be used on the carpets in a vehicle The description includes car interiors which I think means the seats but does not mention the carpets. Is it as good as the Green Machine for inside the home?

A: Yes it will do the carpets, just dont get them too wet. More light passes works better than one big dose.

Q: Given that Bissell says one must use only Bissell cleaning solutions with this product, where do I find Bissell's unscented cleaning solution? Or is this machine completely useless if anyone using the house or vehicle has fragrance allergies.

A: Hello, The BISSELL AutoPro Vacuum does not heat up or steam. It is recommend you fill the tool's water tank with warm to hot water for cleaning. The BISSELL Little Green ProHeat Pet Portable Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner (043-6962-2) contains a water heater will heat the water an additional 25 degrees from the temperature of the water you put in (recommend using hot tap water).

Q: What is the difference between Bissells 3 mini-type carpet cleaners? My dog has accidents here and there. Do they get clogged with pet hair and other debris? Also, can any of these be used on a laminate floor as well as on the carpets?

Q: Can this bissel proheat model take off heavy salt stains on a cars carpet?

A: Yes, using the portable deep cleaner with hot tap water and BISSELL cleaning formula the strong spray and suction will loosen and clean the salt stains from your car mats/carpet. You may have to apply twice to thoroughly lift and clean the salt from the surfaces as you mention "heavy salt stains" so the first pass in cleaning will remove most of the salt and the next pass will clean the dissolved salt from the carpet.

Q: can you make your own formula or use just water? i dont know were to buy this special formula so do any of you know if i can use just water or make my own?

A: Your BISSELL AutoCare ProHeat deep cleaner uses BISSELL Auto Cleansing formula 30U8C (grey bottle black cap) CTC# 039-8223-2 located in the auto aisle at Canadian Tire. You may also use BISSELL formulas specially formulated for portable deep cleaners like yours and they are also found at Canadian Tire in the housewares aisle with the full size and portable machines. Look for the dark blue bottles and select either BISSELL SpotClean 79B93 CTC#043-532703 blue bottle white cap or BISSELL Pet Stain & Odor formula 74R7C CTC#043-531535 blue bottle green cap. Using any other type of formula may be too thick and clog the interior components and damage your machine. Using just water may not thoroughly deep clean your carpet or upholstery of stains and debris. BISSELL formulas for portable deep cleaners are specially formulated to work with hot tap water and the amount of formula added as per directions to give you a deep down clean.
