Cable clamp

I was looking for an item to fix my garage door cable and this fit the bill. It is easy to install and easy to adjust, I just wish they were easier to find in the store. I asked an associate at the store and he gave me the aisle number, a fellow shopper heard our conversation and knew what I was looking for and came to find me in the store to tell me he found what I wanted. There were a few choices, but this was the one that fit best.

Easy to Use Cable U-Clamp

I used the 1/8 inch version on 1/8 cable. It locked the cable nicely tightening the nuts with an adjustable wrench and did not fail when tension was applied to the cable.

not recommended

garbage, broke 2 of these trying to fix a piece of rope, can barely put any torque on the nut when tight or it going to snap the u bolt.
