Bought this kit for my son, his first year of hockey, and got two seasons out of it before he got too big for it. He found it comfortable and provided good protection for the falls of learning to skate. We passed it onto friends when he was finished with it.

Q: My son is 48" tall and approximately 55 pounds. What size should I buy for him?

A: Based on Bauer’s prodigy size range your son fits right in-between a Medium and a Large at this time. For height and weight your typically looking at 42-46” for a Medium and approx. 45 – 60 lbs. As for the Large it runs approx. 46-52” and approx. 60-70 lbs. Recommendation would be to go with a size large as your son will grow into it over the course of the season, if it is currently too large.

A: This is a new product this year that is currently shipping to stores this month and should be available for purchase in early to mid-August depending on when your local store gets their inventory. In the meantime, we have a similar product that is packaged individually (a top and a bottom) that would fulfill the same need at the same price.
