Install was straight forward however Wi-Fi set up took a few attempts. I can very occasionally get reading, maybe twice daily after several attempts. App is very basic and would be nice to have data history. Glitches. Using for remote battery monitor for solar.

Q: Will this work without a charger connected, as in of this is just connected to the battery will it tell you if it’s getting low

A: Yes. It will keep updating battery status on a regular basis. It does use power, so it will very slowly drain the battery. The battery would have to be charged from time to time.

A: I’ve never been able to get it to work properly, since day I bought it! Poor help, or none! So it sits on my kitchen table and I just run a charger to vehicle all day. Defeats whole purpose of even getting one of these things!

Q: I've had a few trickle chargers in the past that kept charging and ruined the battery. I'm wondering if this unit is able to turn the charger off if overcharging is detected?

A: This device does not allow you to turn a connected charger ON and OFF.

Q: Any particular reason why to have/purchase this if someone already has a battery tender (Battery Tender Jr) and "constantly" trickle charging their car battery whenever it isn't in use?

A: Certainly you can just leave your Battery Tender Jr connected to your battery and not need such a product. But there are many other scenarios that someone would want a product such as this. For example, if you have 2 or 3 or 10 different batteries/vehicles and want to know when any one of them needs to be charged. Of if you don't have a readily-available electrical outlet to leave your maintainer plugged into, like a car parked in your driveway (though you would need to be within wifi range). Or someone with a back up sump pump system that wishes to monitor the charge level of their deep cycle battery...

Q: Will this work online on a Noco 3500?

A: No it will not. The NOCO charger uses a proprietary connector. This product uses a standard SAE connector such as that used by Battery Tender, MotoMaster and numerous other charger manufacturers.
