We've had this unit for about a year, after about a month the remote gave out, changed the batteries and still did not work. Now our fireplace don't work. It shuts off, E1 comes up. We looked it up and we did everything they said to do and problem still there. Looks like the fan isn't working. Can we get another insert for this unit?

I purchased couple years ago now got Canadian tire to assemble for a fee and loved it! Until one day my place filled up with smoke and I wasn't sure why..the plug had melted into the outlet in wall and blew breakers to point I couldn't switch and turn them backbin again.. had to get an electrician come and get outlet replaced in wall and now need new plug on fireplace in order to even use it.. ☹ was nice while it lasted tho. .
No, I do not recommend this product.

We bought this for our basement recroom as it is cooler down there. This was a great buy as it throws off the heat and repalces an old TV stand we had as well! Would highly recommend.

This fireplaces is truly great as it warms up our whole condo. For the price I didn’t expect it to function so well. The only problem I had was that the bottom drawer doesn’t fully close. Took the fireplace out of it thinking it was from the weight of it but it’s clearly a manufacturing problem.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A: When the unit is new, its normal that there is odor. It's he fume from the paint and dust. It's will fade and diappear after a few days

Q: Put this together and love the look but the drawers at the bottom are very stiff. Have to pull on them really hard to open them and push really hard to close them. Are they all like this or did I just get a bad one? It’s really bothersome

A: Please check if the track is align properly and also if the drawer is on the track. If not, please remove the drawer and put back in place.

Q: Are you able to place a TV PVR box or any other electronics (ie speakers etc) on top of the unit? I know it can hold a TV that's on a stand itself, but are electronics ok to be placed ontop as well?

A: Nick, the manual said the max TV size is 58in diagonal dimension. the weight is Max 50lbs.

A: There is some assembly to do. The bottom parts with drawers is already assembled. It should take about 1 hours to put together. Make sure to follow the plan

A: The fireplace is using heater element, not infared tubes. The brightness of flame effect can be adjustable through both remote or buttons on the machine.
