Not what I was hoping for.

I was looking for a thick car seat cushion. Buying On-line has it's perils. You can't tell what you might be buying sometimes. This cushion was much thinner than the picture would suggest. It may very well be a nice gel cushion, but did not serve my needs.

Q: From the picture and the gel seat itself, why would the gel grids be open at the top instead of closed like the bottom?

A: The open grid allows air circulation. A closed grid could hold moisture on hot days and give you a wet bottom.
