A: I am not sure what amp it draws, but I use my cigarette lighter in the car and it works great. I love having this on the road to warm up or cook food. A definite must for travellers and great value.

Q: Can you use plastic “Tupperware” type containers? That’s what we put most leftovers in, then into the fridge or freezer.

What size tray (height) did you try using? 260ml Size: 10cm x 13cm x 4.2cm/3.93" x 5.11" x 1.65" or 550ml Size: 16.4cm x 13cm x 4.2cm/6.49" x 5.11" x 1.77" should work. Q: If unit is plugged in for sufficient period of time to warm or cook food, then is unplugged and unopened...is it insulated enough for heat to be maintained (to keep warm or keep cooking) for some time after? Cook on way to work, eat hot food 2hrs later?

A: The food warmer has an average draw of about 6amps and maximum of 10.6 amps. (so avg of 72 watts and max of 127 watts)

Q: instructions for the 12V power outlet in my small car say to not plug in anything that will exceed 10 AMPS. The included instructions for the food warmer says that it will draw a maximum of 13.5 AMPS. Will this damage my car?

A: If it pulls more than 10A it will just blow the fuse. Replace the fuse and don’t use the warmer anymore. We use ours in our car all the time with no issues.
