    Just really amazing stuff here

I took my car in for a service and during the service they greased or lubed the insides of the door jams. Over the course of a week some of the left over made its way onto parts of the exterior of the car by the cracks around the door. Due to bad weather I wasn't able to wash the car so it sat on there for about a week. When I went to wash my car it wouldn't come off, even with a soapy brush so I stopped at the local CT to see what options they had. Although more expensive than other similar products I had used other Autoglym products before and was impressed by them so I decided to give this one a shot. The product said to use a clean cloth to apply the product with, let it sit for a couple minutes then wipe of with another clean cloth and wash after with soapy water. I applied a small amount of the product to a cloth and when I wiped it on the residue came off immediately with no need to let it sit. I was extremely impressed by its quick working action. I would highly recommend this product to anyone!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Worked like a charm!

Highway resurfacing & daily commute = tar on my light grey car. I had researched other tar removers that seemed costly--was on my way to pick one up & saw this--on sale! Figured it was worth a try (about a $20 difference between the two tar removers). Fantastic results! Very happy with the product!!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Don't understand bad reviews

This stuff worked great for me. I had a few small tar globs on the rocker panels and near the wheel panels that were on there basically for a year (bad, I know). Then they also paved my street in early summer so there was a mix of fresh and old tar. This stuff worked great. Some specks took a bit of elbow grease to rub out, but I was able to get it all off. I found it was easier/more effective to wet the rag and then rub it off that way instead of squirting it over the affected area like the bottle says. I found that way wasted liquid and got it everywhere. Wetting your rag with it, then wetting the area, waiting a few minutes and then giving it a gentle rub until it was all gone worked fine for me.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    The stuff works

I have just bought this product and used it on the rocker panels. I unfortunately drove over freshly paved road a month or so ago and did not realized the rocker panels were splattered with tar. I used a dirty rag and I didn't' even have to soak the rag. So I don't understand the negative reviews here. Were they reviewing the same product?

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Very Weak

As another user has said, this does not work at all. It might work on some weak tar stuck to your car, but in my application it did nothing but leave a bad residue on the car. I used as directed - applied with a cloth and let sit for 1-2 minutes. The instructions say to either wipe off or wash off, I wiped off, but it left an oily residue that you could see and feel, so I had to wash the car. As for removing tar, it gets the easy stuff that would come off with a regular car washing product. It is not at all "intensive", even when given 2+ minutes to work. I would not recommend this and I will not be purchasing it again.

No, I do not recommend this product.
