The chartreuse and cheese scented glo mallows are specifically treated to attract trout - floating your bait away from snags to keep it at the perfect feeding level for trout to strike. No fussing with multiple baits - the glo mallows work on their own or paired with worms and eggs. They get eaten off the hook easy. We like that they arent made of rubber! Won't plug up the fishes guts if eaten and released/lost.

Utterly useless.

Got one on the hook, which disintegrated on the second cast. The remainder oozed together within an hour on the boat, on a sunny 13° morning. Into the landfill it goes. It was the pink ones specifically, but I’d imagine the rest are just as worthless. That’s $5 I’ll never see again.
