This unit needs about 12-14 hours of sunshine to charge the batteries enough to last the night even though it’s movement activated and only stays on 20 seconds at a time.

Disappointed, it never worked.

Didn’t work, a waste of time and effort to it install high over my garage - only to have to remove it and return it. This was the last one in the store so I bought a different replacement light. The packaging was done well, but the light was useless.

A: Definitely bright enough. Read the package carefully. The one I bought is motion sensitive.

Q: Can the solar panel be mounted away from the shed, our shed is located in a shady area especially in winter, I'd like to mount the panel about about 20ft away from the shed/light so the sun can reach it.

A: If it is the same unit I bought then the answer is yes. You are limited to the wire that runs between the recharge panel and the light base, which was about 2 meters, however I don't see why you couldn't splice and add wire of the same gauge (low voltage 2 strand wire).

A: yes to both... I have 3 of them on my deck facia... 2 are crewed in and 1 is on with the two sided tape. screws and tap are both provided

A: We live in Alberta, we have 2 on our shed. It has been over 1 year we purchased it and so far works great and snow or rain did not affect performance.

A: If there isn't ample sunlight, it may take longer for the batteries to charge. Please try to charge a few more days and contact our customer service at support@bellhowell.zendesk.com and ask for a replacement if it still doesn't work.
