      1 Answer
      • A: Hi, The Shock Chlorinating granule is calcium hypochlorite and does not have stabilizer (CYA). The Stabilized Chlorine granule is dichlor, which is stabilized with CYA. The CYA prevent chlorine gazing caused the sunrays. Thank you

Q: My water was at 0ppm for chlorine when I first filled the pool. I followed the instructions on the package and about 15+hrs later the chlorine level on the test strip says it's really really high. Shouldn't it of gone down by now? I used 135g for 9100L?

      1 Answer
      • A: Hi, your calculation is correct, you used the right amount of chlorine to shock. There are multiple factors why the chlorine level could be still high. The pool volume might be under 9100L, if the shock was put in the evening and the test was done the morning after, etc. Whithin 24 hours, it should go down to a normal range quickly with the hot weather and sun. Thank you

Q: Can this product be used in a hot tub with Bromine?

      1 Answer
      • A: Hi, we do not recommend using this type of shock in a spa. It will quickly increase the pH and calcium levels . In a spa in conjunction with bromine we recommend using the Aquarius Spa Shock, 0813779. This shock reactivates the available bromine to shock the water within 30 minutes. Thank you
