      A Hot Tub necessity!

This is my go to for my hot tub - it’s the only testing kit you need (at least for bromine). Accurate and easy to use - get some yourself!

      Jacuzzi Testing

Although I haven’t used it yet, I have no doubt it will do the job for us as we’ve bought them before and they are very helpful to have.

      Good quick check

I use 2 types of strips to test our spa water. Sometimes they vary widely in readings based on the parameter I am testing which I find odd. For a quick check on concentration levels they are good but would not depend on making precise measurements based on their readings.

      Works for water hardness

Used for hard water testing. I tested it at a house where i knew the water softener worked and the test responded correctly. Then i used the test strip at home and ig showed very hard water. So it works!

      Questions

      1 - 5 of 5 Questions

Q: Hi just curious why these tests would show an acceptable level of bromine in my hot tub, with cloudy water, yet other tests show no bromine at all?

      • A: Hi Steven, There are several factors that can explain why you have a difference. Here are few tips: - Expiration date - How the strips are stored, not in contact with moisture -High pH or Bromine level may give a 0 bromine reading -How long the test strips have been dipped -Was the test strip wiped Cloudy water can be a problem of poor filtration, clogged filter, high pH, high calcium hardness, low bromine. I would recommend to retest your water, adjust you pH if necessary, increase the filtration time, clean the cartridges and shock your water. Thank you

Q: Does it measure water hardness? I understand this product is more for spa and pool. Does it also measure the hardness of drinking water? If so, how to read it? Thanks all.

      1 Answer
      • A: Thank you for your inquiry. The Aqua Check Red Pool & Spa test strip is recommended to use for Swimming Pool or Spa water only. It is not recommended for use to measure drinking water.
