The aluminum is strong, but the netting could be stronger. They sell patch kits for the netting and advertise as repairable. Wish it was stronger. So far, so good.

Q: What poles work with this net?

A: Not ANY "standard telescopic pole", because there's no such thing as a "standard pole. By far, the most common telescopic pole has a threaded end and this net will NOT work with such a pole. To other purchasers, I would say to be sure to buy the pole at the same time as the net. For me, I've bought another net from a different manufacturer, as the correct "standard telescopic pole" is not available to me.

Q: How fine is the mesh? Is the mesh user replaceable?

A: Thank you for your interest! The size of mesh is 1x1mm, and it is not replaceable, but it is repairable. This means that if a hole is made in the mesh by a small branch (or something else), you can repair it by scrubbing your fingers on the mesh in all directions.
