A: The mix is environmentally friendly and can be used on wood. However, it might cause scratches when people walk on the sand and the sand rubs on the wood

Q: The bag says 3% salt. Please clarify: is this salt 100% sodium chloride? Or is it mixed with calcium chloride, magnesium chloride or calcium magnesium acetate?

A: Hello, Thank you for your interest is this product. Yes 3% of salt approx. Concentration is not big enough to damage sidewalks, stairs and driveways. Also, this is 100% sodium chloride. Thanks Charbonneau Floral

Anti-skid mix of Sand and Salt 10 kg at Canadian Tire.The sand is a very good anti-slip and also has less than 5% of salt, so the concentration of salt is not big enough to damage your walkway, stamped concrete and stairs. Even if it's freshly done less than 12 months. We try to keep this product as ecological as possible. Hope this helps you.

Q: Is this or any ice melters safe to use on grass areas?

A: Due to this product being an anti-slip – meaning, it will not melt the snow or salt but instead will prevent slipping on snow and salt – and, this product contains less salt on average it is less likely to damage the grass.
