Peace of mind at last! We have wondered about radon in our area for a while, and now we have proof that our home is safe. Simple to use, easy to read display, reusable for different locations and no samples to send away.

Purchased 3 months ago on recommendation of a friend who had his house remediated. The air sampling is drawn in from the side so whether the instrument is hung or sitting flat is of no consequence. Accuracy of data over the short term is 10% plus or minus but over 30 days increases to 5% + or - which is accurate enough for the price. Reset and mode switches are easily accessed on the back with a ballpoint pen. Our house readings were alarmingly high ( 449 Bq / m3 ) for normal day to day living and a high of 1276 Bq / m3 when the house was closed up during a 7 day period when we were on holidays, which motivated us to have remediation done quickly. When the instrument was placed outside for 24 hrs the readings dropped to 5 Bq/ m3 which is the average for outside air. After Remediation the short term average after 24 hours dropped to under 90 Bq / m3. We are excited to be able to have peace of mind when winter comes and the house is closed up to keep the heat in. The long term avg is measured over a 7 day period whereby the short term only over a 24 hour period. Differences can be accounted for because of window and door openings during the day. Our short term was 89 Bq/m3 once when we had the windows open to ventilate on a sunny warm day.

Purchased this product before starting radon mitigation process in our home. It has done an excellent job of monitoring radon levels as we made changes.
