Very easy to use. I have had it for 2 weeks and it gives me peace of mind that I have low Radon reading in my house. It gives both a short and long term reading on an ongoing basis.

Useful product and info

I live in an area that has generally higher levels of radon so I was curious to determine if radon was an issue in my home. This long term detector seems very sensitive to changes in radon levels. It gives me daily averages, 7-day averages, and most important, long term averages. My home is on the cusp. My averages are at the higher end of what’s considered safe. It’s good info to know, as radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers. I would recommend getting an Airthings to ensure your family is not exposed to high levels. Does not require US lab testing. It’s made by a Norwegian company.

Inaccurate readings

This device gave wildly high, frightening readings for the first number of days, leading me to move from my office, only to find the reading numbers drop significantly in the following days.

Every home owner or renter is at risk

Every home owner should have or use a radar detector. I purchased one in April and another one for a friend in October. It is shocking to learn my daily results over the Canadian threshold of 200 going into the fall. My average results are under 200 since April This item is suitable to share after getting your own readings.
